I was told it was a Simmons Premium Pillow Top. The bed was so comfortable, I inquired about the mattress. I don’t typically choose the room service option, but if every hotel was like this one, I certainly would do so. We were rushed for time before our concert started and decided the best option would be ordering room service. Friendly staff, beautiful accommodations, every amenity you could possibly need…the whole thing was incredible. This hotel exceeded all expectations from start to finish. We had a good breakfast there (you have to pay) and we noticed they were offering a happy hour at dinner time. By the way, they do offer a van shuttle to drive you to everything, but we chose to walk. So you save a fair bit of money by not being right down at the Dealey Plaza, you have friendly staff, parking lot convenience, a decent sleep, and you can walk to everything. Later that night we walked again only a short distance to one of the dozens of restaurants. (Check out the Neiman Marcus flagship/original store). It takes about 20-25 minutes and is an enjoyable walk with shops and restaurants along the way. We walked from the hotel to the 6th Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. We used the gym which was fairly large with both cardio machines, free weights and a universal style machine. Our fridge was broken, and we were impressed with the maintenance man who came at 800 pm, assessed, removed and replaced with a brand new fridge all in 20 minutes. If you are not entertaining in your room it is fine. It is fine, but it is just a narrow room. We stayed with the king bed option, so you get the small room. The room was small, but the desk clerk warned us of that when she offered to upgrade us to a queen suite. There is even a covered walkway from this garage to the hotel. Valet park is $29, self park is $14 per day, so when you check out it is the next day ($28) so you don't really save any money. So we just put on our left blinker on and pulled in. We chose the self park option because the parking garage is literally right across the street (Harwood). After checking us in she gave us some great tourist tips. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by the friendly doorman and left our car out front at the curb on the Harwood Ave side. We walked from the hotel to the 6th Floor Museum at.
